Fields of Gold (Web Novel)

It's daily slice of life. Very. . . 'old china' value. MC is too capable and lovable, I love her very much, she's not trash at all. Sadly i got bored around chapter 250+ when the one who seemingly set to be a ML (FL is still 10 y. o at this time so I can't be sure if that guy will grow into her spouse). I truly dislike the ML character/ personality that I cannot stand the pages anymore. Otherwise the story is good and satisfying. 5/5 stars (4/5 stars because the ML)

I feel that the story would end around 650, almost everything is filler. It has satisfying ending, I have a smile all knowing that both of them got each other.

Lovely and fun novel! Really good translation. MC is hardworking and good-natured, but she's also feisty. However, I've had some issues with the way this was written and the author's tendency to stretch out the characters' suffering without delivering real justice. I understand they probably go along the line of "being a better person" and "not stooping to the evildoer's level", but many conflict resolutions felt very anticlimactic. Another issue I have, and this is a big pet peeve of mine, the inconsistency in information. The author often vaguely talks about characters' ages (in one chapter they're 8, the other 9-10, some are 20 then suddenly 25, pregnant at 34, then suddenly "close to 40", etc. ), characters names often change or get mixed up, etc. Some characters completely disappear even though they've been very important for the most part of the story (Madam Li who runs off during the attack and whe never hear what happened to her). Overall, it's a good story, just could've been written much better (and shorter).

I Finished reading this before the system got wiped out. Again, amazing work by the author. Love the novel! I really recommend it to those who like the genre of Food, a slice of life, and Farming.

It's one of my all time favorite novels; as a slice of life type novel, it's a comfortable breath of fresh air compared to what I normally read.

Beautiful story. I love the loyal love theme in the novel. Always hated harem stories so this is one of the best non-harem isekai seeking farm story. 🤩

Great read. It makes one drools with all the foods mentioned in the novel. So inspires and appreciate the value of family. Love the romance. Makes one wonders of the continuation of YX and ZJ's lovestory in modern world.
