Hero of Darkness

This novel was an absolute masterpiece. From the first page, I was completely hooked by its gripping plot and unforgettable characters. Every moment felt immersive, making it impossible to put down. The character development was phenomenal. The protagonist’s journey felt so real; well as real as fantasy stories can get, with struggles and growth that made them deeply relatable. Even the supporting characters had depth, each contributing meaningfully to the story. The plot was full of twists and emotional moments that kept me engaged until the very end. Just when I thought I had it figured out, something unexpected happened, making the story even more compelling. Beyond the story, the writing was beautiful. The vivid descriptions, natural dialogue, and emotional depth made every scene come alive. I found myself rereading passages to appreciate the way they were written. This book wasn’t just a great read—it was an experience.

This is an epic story with different characters as well as a great world building, and the most intriguing main character i have ever read! So, everyone one reads this epic story!

If I had to describe this novel in two words it would be "Pick me". The author is always going on about how this novel is not like all the other novels that have predictable cringy tropes, except he does the same thing. And when he does do a typical trope he will just tell you its not like any of the other novels like I said, instead of actually taking to time to show how its different. At some point it just gets annoying because of the constant insisting that this novel is a cut above the rest when it really is not.

Ch 876 As of now this is a great novel with a blend of characters that are incredibly well thought out and each have their own unique personality traits that make them them. The only downside is that EVERY character has their own back story including side characters who honestly just went on and disappeared without making that much of an influence of the MC. A solid 4 due to the insane world building

This is mid tier at best. It started out great and interesting but after the first arc things became pretty meh. I won't go too in-depth but it just went up and down from boring to interesting. Its pacing became slower and some chapters feel like filler more than anything. There is also the part where Author wants to write chapters featuring other characters POVs, which I didn't care much for and some of those dragged on as well. It would be higher tier if author just cut out all the pointless filler. I don't advise trying to binge this after the first arc, cause you will probably find yourself bored like me. It is alright to come back from time to time or if you have nothing better to read.

The novel is wonderful in terms of character development and world building. The beginning of the novel is good, with many details that make you sympathize with MC. Regarding the events of the novel, the events may be a little slow, but this is due to the presence of important events and details. Good character development (9/10) Supporting characters (7/10) World building (9/10) Event plot (6/10) (relatively slow)

This novel is good The power level, law and their details, kingdom building every thing is good The start of novel is good, in mid there is alot of explaining every time but now it is back on track

The general take away I got is that this is pretty mid. The power system is decently developed and I enjoyed the arcs the main character spent on building his skills, but the fight scenes, especially around ch 1000 drag on meaninglessly. So much of some chapters feel like words thrown in to reach a word count too. Additionally, I absolutely hate how the author pulls a new ability out from nowhere and does a flashback to make it fit, and sadly, this occurs a bit too often. Why can’t the MC just use his previously established OP abilities to reach the same conclusion. Not a bad way to pass time waiting for SS and circle, but don’t bother otherwise. (Maybe 5/10)

I couldn't make it very far into this story so perhaps the writing improves but I found the mc plot and world building to be given in short burst and used to help pander to the audience for the mc's cringe and often contradictory actions it could have potential if the author would refocus on the character a story he wants to tell but as it stands it's to much of a pandering power fantasy
