I Am This Murim’s Crazy Bitch

This novel is a wild ride. First off the weird part that will make it or break it for you, yes the mc is 1000% racist, but it's shown in a "animal in zoo" kind of way, the author doesn't really shove their political narratives in our throat, well they kinda do but it doesn't seem the author have an agenda moreso he wants to point out the comedic nature of our world's controversies through irony and presents them with funny anecdotes. Like i assure you guys this is not propaganda and the author doesn't want to you accept racist values. This can be shown from the mc's quote that goes something like this "the number 1 thing i hate in the world is racism, second it's the chinese, third it's the europeans, 4th are the blacks". The author obviously shows the irony and hypocrisy in his words and that means that we the reader should also not take everything the mc says as correct. Okay now on to the good parts that make this a 5 star. The mc is a maniac, but unlike other maniacs from bad novels, this mc has LAYERS that gets explored in depth. Like no joke, this was super unexpected to find in a murim novel. The mc questions their self and reality about their values and place in the world that actually affects the mc's growth and future choices. Like, the mc's change in behaviour isn't just told like in other conventional isekai mangas where they be like "ah me betrayed, me becomes op, me evil and badasss". THIS NOVEL SAYS F*CK YOU TO THAT, everything and i mean EVERYTHING in the mc's qualities and choices have nuance and taken its roots toward the mc's behaviour. The mc's power and unique abilities fundamentally change the mc's behaviour and in this novel it actually shows how the mc feels about that and how they cope with it. They question their place in the world, they have genuine fears that we can sympathise with, traumas that are actually showcased in depth and not just there for the sake of it. Holy cr*p guys, like i wish every mc in other novels are written like this (minus the racism). I want to highlight another strong point of this novel, its world and side characters. This is a murim world unlike any others, it's roughly set in an AU between the 12th century and the 13th century of our world but has martial arts influence. This makes it a pseudo-historical novel and i love it. Since the author can base it's exposition on our real world, then the world building and back story flows smooth and is filled to the brim. Like im learning about historical events and how it affects the side characters behaviours. Seriously this is pretty cool. There is one disclaimer that i should give, this is a slice of life novel and you should know it by how much the novel focuses on its mc and world. But overall it still very exciting and has its hype moment as well. Anyways, you should atleast try this novel fr. It's very unique and honestly my favorite murim to read rn.

Love it. humor, carnage, bloodbaths, a fmc that has gone bonkers and a healthy dose of racism. What else can anyone ask from life? Really, the only thing i dislike is that i found this sh*t too soon and now i have to wait with baited breath every day for chaps. . . Maybe that is not so bad after all, it also works as a daily dose of Qing. . . My life could use some more Qing tho. . .

i finished it rn, the highest chapter atm is 156. the story is mid, the only forgiving part of it is that the MC is unique in sometimes actualy being crazy. other then that, the story overall feels tedious to read, honestly i felt like i wanted to go in detail on what i mean, but i went and it got deleted so idc, its mid thats all.

Well this was certainly something. The writing is good and the story itself is great but I think the Author needs a mental health check-up. The details of the gore and racist tangents are a bit odd. I cannot tell if the author is just edgy or actually psychotic. But regardless this is a great novel. The fights are good, the characters are great, not a single arc was boring. This isn’t a standard cultivation novel as MC stays the same realm from chapter 1 to chapter 144, although they are technically two realms higher in pure strength and Qi. Good novel would recommend 4/5 because Korean nationalism

The MC is a unique existence. The focus point of the novel seems to be on the development of the MC and overcoming the hurdles, but how the MC overcomes is hilarious. Additionally, the author has some fundamental issues because his imagination is really something different.

The main character throws a dice every time they encounter someone Either they kill said someone and start throwing racial slurs or befriend them and then move on to the next one It's like Pokémon bushes tbh If you like someone bullshiting their way through every encounter i recommend this one and the genderband is an excuse to add yuri later on(although i didn't finish it so i dunno) so it doesn't really effect the narrative that much anyway am off🚶🏻 4/10

really a gem, this one has finally an interesting mc, not some generic sh*t like always. mc is (a bit) crazy which results in some funny scenes and overall is the story quite good :)

what can I say? It's fantastic, very interesting story, MC hilarious and entertaining with his way of thinking and insulting (take note, too good), I like all the characters. At the beginning it's not very understandable, I don't know if it's because of the translation, but anyway you can understand it and it makes you laugh. there are points where they explain many jokes and historical curiosities and Chinese mythology, a good part of which is about food. I can understand that the author, as much as he has made an ignorant protagonist, himself is not.

To put it one word, insane, and to put it in many words, very insane with a touch of incredible amounts of racism. That basically sums up the entire novel it I put it lightly and I loved it dearly to death for it since it tickles a part of my brain I never even knew I had

This novel is light and calm with a great balance between comedy and seriousness, the kind that you read and don't even notice the time passing by. The fact that the MC is a woman provides a range of character interactions and reactions that works very well to develop the plot involving the mysteries surrounding the MC. Overall, it's a great read, I just recommend stocking up on more chapters, at least 200, to get more out of the work. I read it very early ;-;
