The series is while some may say very repetitive is not bad as it slowly allows for a smoother transition. It's mostly a feel good story with not a lot of tension. A very worthwhile read that stops boredom with it's timely scenes which let's readers experience various emotions.

I really like children, and my favourite genre is Isekai, so it may be expected from me to love this novel, and i really do love it. My only complaint is how things are so EASY for the MC. . . I know he is blessed by the gods and the kids are kind of special, so there isn't anything to be afraid of, but i wonder if the difficulty of the journey will raise a bit if i keep reading it. In the end the children are too cute to leave this novel alone.

This novel started off pretty well: cute kids in need of love, kind MC with lots of it to give, and all that happy family stuff. But at some point, it gets terribly repetitive. It's called "raising kids while adventuring" but the MC does little adventuring at all. It seems to emphasize more on the MC's cooking skills and ability to use different ingredients around him to make Japanese cuisine which isn't bad but when it gets repeated for close to 100 chapters, it gets annoying. Most of it is like this: *He and kids go outside, kids fight monsters and gather herbs while he just watches *MC cooks new food with ingredients, everyone is enchanted by taste *Someone begins selling the recipe to make money with MCs permission. This just repeats over and over again. If you like cooking, then this is for you.

It starts off fine. Cute kids, basic MC, overall fluffy feel good story... but it gets extremely repetitive as the story goes along. The further in the story you get, the more it's just the MC doing the same thing over and over again while the children run around defeating monsters for meat. We get it, he can cook. We don't need to read 100 chapters of him cooking. At first it's a plot device that makes sense, but it quickly becomes this repetitive slog. For something titled " Raising Children While Being an Adventurer" there is remarkably little adventuring. That said, if you don't mind the seemingly constant scenes repeating with slight character changes, it's not a bad story. It just needs to be edited down. I have read some of the manga by the same name and I would recommend that over the written story if you are interested in the concept.

I love the story, it's cute, funny and something nice to read during breaks. It's so amusing when others tease him about his "common" sense đ I am looking forward to the rest of the story đ

Look, it's not bad. The kids are cute, there's cute animals and lots of yummy food. But the MC lets himself get pushed around a lot. At one point the kids get hurt and the only reaction we get towards the person at fault is mild disappointment and a warning to not do it again. However if you don't mind that the MC lacks character, its a good fluffy read.

TLDR: Bad and disappointing MC and an overall lack of action and adventures. Literally if you take out all of the action including the MC then it could probably fit into the length of a chapter. BUT if youâre into books about Cooking then youâve got yourself a steal, literally the MC cooking takes up like half of this crappy book. This man be cooking like Chef Boyardee. WARNING: Minor spoilers
This book is a very lighthearted story about our Mc raising two children as an adventurer (yes as an adventurer not a chef). I find this book to be poorly written or distasteful in many areas, in which I will talk about.
The MC. Our Mc is quite hypocritical throughout the story. This is seen when our MC and the kids run into bandits who attempt to kill them, yet our Mc decides to capture all of the bandits alive as he doesnât want to dirty his hands or doesnât believe in killing them. However later it is brought up that the bandits will be turned into slaves without rights (which could be called a fate worse than death) to which our âsaintâ of an MC doesnât bat an eye as if they werenât even the same criminals from before. Another major flaw with our MC which particularly irks me is that the story is called âRaising Children While Being An Adventurerâ yet our MC barely ever fights himself. Throughout the story the MC is constantly seen leaving the fighting to the children even though the the MC himself is an adventurer. When I think adventurer I think of brave warriors and mages who are payed to fight, yet the MC is often seen cowering behind the children whilst they fight because the children are âhaving funâ. I get it the author wants the kids to be a major part of the story however the MC himself is a forgettable person who is only really shown cooking (like for half of the novel), if you want the kids to be such a major part of the story then make them the protagonists instead. Also the MC is a bad guardian. We often see the children charging into battle at first sight of an enemy but our MC doesnât seem to care. Ok I know the children are OP but what if they charge off into a dragon and die, what then. Our MC not only doesnât discipline the children for misbehaving or doing something dangerous he doesnât even scold them, he treats it as if it never happened. If the MC truly cared about the children he would scold the kids for their misbehavior and dangerous actions not just reluctantly accept them. I get the feeling that if the MC for say had a (loaded) gun and the children were reaching for it, he wouldnât just let them touch it but even hand it to them so they can play with it. Just thinking about the MC makes me frustrated much less reading about him. Lastly our MC is seen treating royalty and nobility as if they are higher existences when he himself is. Literally his body is made out of a godâs divine energy making himself transcend humanity, not to mention the fact that he is a retainer of a god (a rare existence in of itself). But when a prince apologizes to him he stops the prince and makes it seem as if heâs unworthy. Some might say that heâs trying not to out himself and his powers, and I can understand that but that doesnât mean he should make himself seem like an extremely weak and unworthy lower being.
All in all, this book is a disappointing read that frustrates me whenever I read it. If the author wants the kids to be such a major part of the story then make them the protagonists instead of this frustratingly disappointing MC. But if you want to keep the story as is, change the name to âRaising Children As a Traveling Chefâ or âCowering Behind My Children As they Fight For Meâ, both titles I find much more fitting.

Hmmm its interesting you know, for me I don't know to the others and its kinda cute and have great story that you may like it. It also have a manga so if you may read there first so that you can visualize each character of the story and it's so catchy for me and still waiting to be updated more and I already read it twice đđ because I love it so I hope it would be the same to very one ....

This is a really nice and lighthearted isekai, its meant as a casual read, some people might not like it, as it does not hit the seinen tag, but i highly recommend it, if you are having a bad day, just pick this up and read it.
The interactions between Takumi and the children are written really nicely, and even though he gets super powerful, it might seem a bit forced but still the story comes off nicely!
