My House of Horrors

A very well-written novel about horror and hope, with a comedic undertone. The story follows the MC Chen Ge as he tries to uncover the truth about his missing parents using his cunningness, bravery and a bright view towards humanity at the forefront. The author does a brilliant job showcasing us the story by narrating the life and "struggles" of the MC day by day-simultaneously building tension as the story progresses and character development. Also, while filler technically exists in this novel I personally found it quite enjoyable to read. As you may have guessed from the title most of the "main" story has to do with horror and that is hard to experience repeatedly without taking a break in between. The author -i believe - understands this fully and so these segments of the story act as a sort of buffer period between scares if you will. Even so, they contain the most comedy, different POV's as well important side characters that play a major role in the story so they are not to be skipped. All in all, i would say it is an enjoyable read for anyone who is interested in horror media in general and trust me, the author is VERY creative when it comes that, scarily so in fact lol Thank you for reading!

The author perfectly balances suspense, action and comedy while keeping good characters and a fresh story. Probably the best suspense/horror novel I have read.

was my first horror novel satisfying and sometimes funny aftermath of creepy scenes helped me keep going I think ending was a bit rushed but overall A masterpiece

One of the most incredibly fun and immersive novels ive ever read. The 5 star rating doesnt mean that everything about it is perfect, but the things it excels at are definitely 100/10. Would recommend to anyone wanting a bone chilling but funny asf mystery novel. Definitely one of the best novels ever

The novel is full of seemingly independent horror stories in different scenarios which could rival even the most popular horror movies. Each scenario has it's own story to tell. The novel is filled with suspense from the early mid part till the end. It's a story about a young man who although somewhat fears ghost, has come to understand them and their perspective.

Well, i started this novel because of the reviews who said the horror is bone chilling but there was nothing that extreme for an RI fan like me. Maybe its because of prefrence i guess? Other than this, simply amazing novel. Took me 4 months to complete this btw😅

Best read so far on my road of webnovels. It honestly personally didn't scare me at all, but it might be because I like ghosts so don't take this into consideration, but I just love all the other things, be it the story telling, the characters developement, no one is left out, and also the "romance". The author can give all sort of emotions, and that's why I love it. It had also a great impact on me, it's one of the few stories that changed my view on the world and my way of thinking genrally, because of the things that it hightlight that aren't talked about enought.

A Quality novel in horror and thriller genre. Although some of the horror scenes are borderline comedic and downplays the gravity of the situation, overall this element pulls through nicely. Highly recommended👍

This novel is a masterpiece in my opinion. The story hooks you everytime you start to read until you are too tired to read more (I’m reading in the evening so thats for me). The pacing has its ups and downs but overall its not too slow or too fast. Characters dont feel empty or forced and are mostly relateable and you can emphatise really good with the MC. TLDR: This is not the best novel out there BUT its a must read in my opinion.
