Outside Of Time

Probably one of the better Novels on here and I would rate it 5 stars if not for the 2 major issues. This is definitely worth a read, the writing is excellent and the plotline is decent. Great fights(mostly). As for the issues, they're very common in this type of Novel, which are, 1) The MC is forced to develop way too quickly due to matters far beyond their level of strength, but they're so special they can just about "handle it". We get it. cultivators need to take risks for growth, but do they really need to be involved in tasks way above their comprehension? and 2) Short answer: desperate escape to intense power creep. To expand: the MC's cultivation increases after they've almost died, the they become excessively OP for a period of time, more than enough to easily curb stomp the absolute dogS out of the opponent who almost killed them a while ago. This author dresses it up very nicely, but it's still very anticlimactic. Will authors ever stop doing this? Probably not.

This novel is very good from character development to the story is very impressive, for those of you who are interested, just read it and you will be amazed

Honestly, it's just the best I've seen Er Gen do. I'd say the story is based on the roots of what was ISSTH. Except now Er Gen is far more experienced.

Amazing cultivation novel from seasoned author Er Gen with great world building, mc with tons of character growth, interesting side characters and great fights. . . but theres one not so small problem with which this author has problems in all his novels: Dude needs to get fking laid and bad, he spends 6-10 lines of text (sometimes even tenth of chapter) describing curves and beauty of any good looking female (cuz hes so thirsty its 95% of all females) every time they appear or do anything, he legit spent in around chapter 1145 6 lines on one exiting teleportation formation. With it couples the problem of romance, Er Gen forces the romance and multiple romance interests down your throat forcefully despite the fact that any sort of romance doesnt fit at all with MCs personality even after all character growth, not to mention the fact that none of them are even in slightest interesting and are just walking romantic stereotypical clichés of cultivation novels (if you want me to name them hit me up in reply and imma do it with spoiler tag). Idk what some woman ever did to hit Er Gen but he needs to get fking over it

One of the best novels I've ever read in my life, this novel is just masterpiece, and as expected of er gen it's normal W from him (and I had to make this filler because it's won't let me post it)

5 star for me. Great world building, with good explanations without being too draggy. Fun with good side characters and theme that keeps it interesting.

This novel is extremely slow paced and without any break, so you can't binge read it. The MC's personality is very bland, the world is typical ruthless xianxia world with not so much world building and scope is extremely minimal to even know where the story is going or how it is progressing all the while with utterly ridiculous power creep, as even an minor realm can make significant difference. It a story where a pebble tries to become bigger pebble but when he be becomes a slightly bigger pebble, he gets thrown in with the other bigger pebbles and pebble ties to be bigger and better than the others to only get thrown around the same, while there are always hills and mountains in the horizon for the pebble to make any difference. This is short summary of this whole novel's essence. There are some character interactions that are good, but he plot is jarring and feels ridiculous when new elements pop out like candies, without any prior explanation in the story.

I waited long for this review, over 1600 chapters in and all I can tell you is to please don't waste your time on my review. This is a masterpiece in the making. It has everything, with a little bit of patience from every reader, it has all you could ask for from a cultivation fantasy novel. Er Gen, wonderful.

After reading all Er Gens novels I can say this is probably the best one or atleast on par with AWE and WWP, mc experiences great but slow (in good sense) character growth, there are many amazing side characters, classic er gen great world building. Unlike his first novels mc doesnt just toss treasures at enemies in beginning either. The novel doesnt seem even remotely finished so I cant say about power scale as now its small compared to his other books but smaller isnt always worse. My only issues with this novel are Er Gens everlasting issues. . . remembering numbers and romance in novel. Its not as bad as it was in RI or ISSH but honestly its still another awful, forced romance which thankfully Er Gen gives us in small doses which is why the novel still deserves its 5 stars as Er Gen atleast learned to regulate his fetish and not let intrusive thoughts always win

by far the best er gen novel i have read personally has the one of the best cultivation paths out of his novels as it isnt too long like ri and is still pretty simple overall love to keep reading xu qings story
