Just to clarify to everyone: Solo Leveling did NOT copy this novel so please stop saying that. Solo leveling was serialized in 2014 and was published 2016 while Seoul Station was published 2015. It is most likely that SSN copied Solo Leveling and not the other way around. Unfortunately, Solo Leveling lost the court case against SSN and that's probably how this whole thing about Solo Leveling 'plagiarizing' started. or at least that's what I found from googling. if you find further info you can refute me

That's misinformation. There are no public announcements of a lawsuit and no public records of a lawsuit. The only evidence a lawsuit happened is some reditors claiming it happened. Which is not evidence. And I don't think anyone should think these are copies of each other. They took a similar premise that has been around for years and both did a similar concept. But even the first few chapters are vastly different in style and tone. The Korean dungeon plot is just like Japanese Iseaki plot. It's just a genre that's become popular. These novels don't have enough similarities to say they copied. Since one is a regular dude gaining powers while the other is a dude that already had power returning to earth. Having read both they don't read similar at all. People can argue which they like more but other than the genre and the protagonist being a necromancer, they aren't the same.

i mean ye they dont read the same. Like you said, whether it's true or not that there was a lawsuit, it really doesn't matter, it's just there have been people claiming things and saying that "solo lvling copied." annoys me quite a bit when people say things like oh this novel took the idea from ___ novel just because they read the other novel first and liked it.

A huge spoiler would be the virtual reality tag. The ending is just so unexpected, and I still don't understand what's going on.

So does anyone know what the latest manhwa chapter corresponds to in the light novel? Like how far behind is the manhua from the novel?

I'm not sure, but 10-15 chapters before the end of the novel seems like a good place to start

Did you read this novel or read the manhwa? If you read either of those can you tell me where you stopped and what was exactly happening at that point?

the manhwa and the ln of Seoul station's necromancer are pretty different, if you read the first one and want to switch to the second one it's better to start from the chapter 1

Interesting ending and I could feel the actual thought of how governments react to the mc at the end due to his strength and how some groups combat it.

I stopped reading the novel at Chapter 134. Frankly, he had a good start, but he cannot maintain it in the following episodes. My biggest complaints while reading the novel; MC's inner world is not explained well and the developing events are not handled very deeply. If you are looking for a snack to take a break to collect chapters in the novel you are following, this novel can be your choice.I think the author is a real success, but it seems like he didn't do his best so he might not have been able to unleash the full potential of the novel.

This novel feels like Walmart brand Solo Leveling.

This came out a year before solo leveling.

that's only technically right. Solo leveling was published a year after Seoul Stations Necromancer, but it was actually serialized a year earlier. In reality, it's most likely that Seoul Station copied Solo Leveling

Meh. When I looked this up it said solo leveling came out in 2016. You have to search pretty hard to find out that it actually came out in 2014. Though the fact they came out on the same platform means it's possible that this is a copy. The fact that neither reads anything like each other means I doubt it. The have the same genre and a protagonist with the same power but origin and actions taken are completely different.

I am not saying this author copied SL, I'm saying it feels like a washed down version of SL quality wise lol

I added this because I read the manhwa and now that I'm empty I need to restock

Unfortunately manhwas take relatively long to update. If you got time, try legendary mechanic or dungeon predator, 1200+ and 500+ chapters respectively. A shorter one would be praise the orc which is just over 200. Good luck on restock

I already finished The legendary mechanic long ago but quite sad by the ending. It is both good but I felt like it could had been more plus some parts felt rushed but seeing how strong he already is it's acceptable... could had been more...

It is hard to pace the story and especially decide how long the writers want the story to be. Sometimes the novels end due to the writer such as running out of ideas or burnout of writing the novel for a long time. They also want to make sure they don’t drag out the ending and make it boring towards the end when they put a lot of effort into the story. In the end, we kind of just have to accept the ending for what it is.
