Almost every story has its ups and downs, cool things and things we don't like. It's a good romance in my opinion and I recommend it. I found the story light, there is a bit of tension, but very few characters close to the protagonist actually die or go through unbearable tragedies. The fights and powers are very well designed in my opinion, the plots, comedy and mysteries are also cool. Negative points are the slow romance and some characters that should have died, but come back... but that doesn't affect the story, it's just details. I read up to 1200 chapters, where the main villain dies, then the author tries to extend the story, I stopped there.
Only read 19 chapters, but I already had to stop. The translation is difficult to read and there are way too many clichés jam packed in just these few chapters. Young Masters haven't even started to appear yet, but a couple of arrogant characters have that already made the Mc their nemesis. I really can't go down this rabbit hole again. I'm tired of reading about completely unreasonable characters. It's a shame that not every Cultivation Novel could be like "A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality". Heck, I would even settle for more like "Nine Star Hegemon Body Art". Although that's also filled with every Cultivation Novel cliché under the sun, at least it's well written and easy to follow. I should probably just stop reading novels like these. Anything with Emperor, God or Immortal in the title, it's a risky click and you might waste your time.

So, dont listen to these idiots, ding quickly threw away his ideals of forgiving everyone. The story starts off slow, about a man who got reborn into a new body. So of course ding would hold some ideals of the modern world. Worth the read if you like some feel good brotherly moments, as well as a seemingly sexualy oblivious maim character.
It's a 6/10 nether good nor bad just a little bit above average.
