The Cannon Fodder Turns His Sister Into A Soaring Phoenix

I read this novel to completion. My only regret is it ended too early. I genuinely hope there will be a continuation. The journey while reading it has been momentous. Kudos to the author for writing such a good cultivation novel.

Unironically a good novel from the dumps of cultivation novels. I was suprised really, that guy who said this was a hidden gem wasn't wrong. Usually, so called "Hidden gems" aren't actually gems but this one definitely is.

A good harem manga. The character interactions are fun. The harem members have personalities and are not treated as decorations. Author takes his time to build the relation between MC and the harem members.

Actually, I didn't have much expectation due to its ranking and score. I don't even know how it came across to me, but I can say that it exceeded my expectations. The flow and progression of the story are really good. So far, I haven't come across anything that would put me off the novel, except for a few minor flaws. The only noticeable flaw for me is the "whole world revolving around the main character" phenomenon, which plagues many novels. Compared to the main character, the supporting characters are lackluster, and unfortunately, this is a common issue we encounter in many novels. Initially, when I saw ecchi in the categories, I expected a story that would heavily focus on sexuality like other series, but there is not even a hint of sexuality, and I didn't understand the reason for the ecchi category. Actually, this series deserves a 4 out of 5 rating, but considering the rating system on the site, where a 3 rating should normally be average, it seems that series with a 3 rating are considered bad on this platform. Therefore, I give it a 5 rating because I believe it deserves to be ranked higher than it currently is.

I’d give it a 4. 3/5 if I could. It’s a good read. The story flows nicely, with events happening in a pretty well paced timing. The characters are good, the background and setting is good. The possible plot holes are covered with pretty good explanations. One of my favorite plot hole explanation is how the MC can’t just do whatever he wants and travel wherever he wishes. They explain it by saying that if he wanders away then he won’t know what’ll happen to him, since it was outside of the game’s perspective, but if he stays, then he’ll know what’s going to happen since he played the game before. It also has a good concept of the MC trying to be the background supporter, but he has his own strengths that even he didn’t know about. As for things that I feel could be worked on, it needs more noticeable male characters. It’s leaning HEAVILY towards HAREM, especially since I can count the number of noticeable males (at least side characters) on 2 hands. Another thing is to add in more idle time in between events. I feel like it’s a little rushed where a huge event just took place, then 3 chapters later, it’s onto the next big event. Sure, there are some General time skips, like maybe a couple days to weeks. But it still feels rushed. Give them some time to train a little or something.

Personally I will give it a 4 star since there always had many ups & downs in a story and this one is no different. . . But as the novel has low ratings I'll be generous and give it a 5 star, I mean, just why not? My first impression of this novel is very good, the comedy here is very good, not to mention the plot is very interesting and quite addictive, like I can't stop watching it, MC is not dense(I just don't understand the reviewers below). . . It's just that he loves his sister so much that he doesn't even know that she has a darkside. . . It can't be helped but do remember guys MC is not dense, he's manipulative but he becomes dumb due to the Plot Armour(So Curse the PLOT GOD). . . anyway~ [I already mentioned this in the comments section so feel free to skip the further comment below if you have already read it there] —For those who wants to read it but didn't read it for a few 'reasons'. . . Let me say this, just read it without reading any comments here because some of the comments here are completely baseless and are without actual reasons or whatsoever. . . Q&A: Is this *nc*st? No it isn't, Not even close infact. . . How many girls are there? About 5 for now, 2 confirmed, 1 rejected(for now), 1 pending, I seriously do not know about this one(it's the female protagonist of the novel not our MC ok) —FOR THOSE WHO READ A FEW CHAPTERS AND WANT TO DROP IT(Like10-20C): For this part I want to say, yuri isn't a thing which I particularly care about, I even liked it a bit but this is a novel where many ppl may not like the yuri part. Ok, Now Don't Misunderstand, There Is No Genre And No Moments Like 'yuri' In This Novel. But the only problem is, the female protagonist, who is a 'Les bian'. It's her master's fault, so don't misunderstand and be patient coz she's clueless & wrongly educated at things like 'S*x'🤕

It's all treated as a gag and feelings are not involved from mc's perspective. . . as for *nc*st It may make many uncomfortable so keep that in mind conclusion: A decent readable option amoong many. . . but nothing extraordinarily good that will not be preferred by many people over the better opptions available. . .

I love the worldbuilding and storyline but the character development is practically non-existent (220 chapters in). Some events feel forced, especially when it comes to intimacy with the Anping (protagonist). Like, Anping would appear upset or feel like he has no choice when girls force themselves on him but he literally sits there and does nothing. Overall enjoyed reading because the plot is fun but it's also very irritating for me.

I don't really like my sister's personality, but the characters in the story are well-written, and the plot is interesting. Additionally, the protagonist is not the typical arrogant lead, which is a plus.

Well written. Characters are entertaining, plot is entertaining. Not mind numbing. Not all females characters are brain dead, it's just a little weird. It has a different atmosphere than you might expect. Read a few chapters, you might like it, if not, forget about it.
