      The author’s target goal is 10k chapters, and there less than 5 time skips as far as I recall. The biggest was only 5 or so years I believe

    I am at chapter 145 and I want to know :- Whether MC is going to be Active in taking action, smart OR just passively see everything happen and only do his MECH labour ??? Also as far as I know His family isn't helping him anything and a hypocrite group ??

      He is a mech designer first, anything else, second. I highly advise not reading if you want an MC to fight everyone himself. This isn’t a cultivation weakest to strongest, but more of a story of a career, with action and pov’s from other characters we get to know and love, sometimes hate.

      He is a more active MC that is always in the thick of the action but tries to make his pilots or bodyguards fight for him, but there are moments that he is left with no way out but to fight as well even if his focus is to only do his mech labour and survive the "unfairness" of the world

        Sorry, I don't know any... I have been reading the runesmith that is about a programmer that is sent to another world and learns that runes works in similar way as a program language and uses it to get stronger, he crafts a lot of his own armor. it has a close enough feel to mechs but it aint a mech, even if it seems as he is starting to create a mech for his friends

      I don't remember him, not that he is not important, just that there are a lot of characters that comes and goes all the time. some stays important to the world building even if he doesn't show up a lot in the chapters.

    I read an thousand something chapter several years ago where MC had to go to the front line as repairmen for his kingdom or something. Couldn't last more than that cause MC seems to be stupid, with an annoying GF according to all the people who read more, and his leeching family. The mom made MC look so useless, and MC doesn't seem to want to invest in good abilities.

      I agree with most of your points but I find this novel pretty fun to read if you can get over everything. Most of your problems disappear after some time and I just ignore the one's that haven't. mind you im only at 3k so can't say much for anything beyond that.

        DO. NOT. READ. THIS. FOR. ROMANCE. The MC’s love interest is the worst thing about this novel and will drive you insane. Only read this novel if you’re a nihilist with nothing else to read. To be fair there are some really good parts but good lord are they few and far between.

        The female love interest is a raging extremist feminist. Like, their entire culture views men as lesser little boys that don't know how to control themselves. Turns a lot of people off. After they meet and lovey dovey stuff happens there's no more romance arc. One arc basically.

        I also didn't like the demonic stuff, it isn't about taste but about character development. The author has always tried very hard to paint Ves as a upright mech designer that was put in difficult situations that his only way of survival was to shady stuff to survive. Even when he got his darkness affinity, the author keeps showing a Ves that tries to do the right thing. Ves could have chosen the other 2 upgrades that would have great synergy with his current development, which would improve his chances of survival for sure instead of something that is completely foreign to him. Because of that choice, he also changed his own design choices for the rule breaker project in which he was trying to give the carmine pilot a chance to survive in the struggle, instead he is now seeing everyone else as a resource. To sum it up, a giant character change that came out of nowhere for no good reason just because the author took a fancy on demons...

        I think the novel your thinking of is super gene. He is poor and the level up system does involve killing and eating animals in the beginning plus he does get into some form of mech combat in the early sections of the story but it does go past that fairly quickly if I remember.
