This is one of the most frustrating novels I've ever read. The MC is intelligent and capable most of the time, but as soon as it's time to face an enemy or avoid foreshadowing, it feels like his IQ drops to the single digits. He gets into unnecessary life-threatening battles, forgets to use basic game changing skills, doesn't check if a grueling difficult enemy is dead just so that they can come back to life (thrice in 300 chapters) and relies on plot armour power ups to survive. It's like the usual DBZ with 10 times more b*llsh*t and plot armour. The novel gives the vibes of a mediocre xianxia novel but with much less interesting battles, worse romance and more frustration. I'll still add a star for the author researching the dragon ball lore and stories well, since the plot fits realistically into the DBZ universe.

First time I've read fanfiction and I really enjoyed this one. The immersion through the MC is quite strong, especially for parts of the story where he acts partially as a spectator of the main events of the Dragon Ball universe. I recommend it to Dragon Ball fans. Dragon Ball was my first manga, a homage to the author.

RIP Akira Toriyama. I finish this story and read that while I was reading it, the real creator of DB had died on March 1st. I won't go into too much detail. As a DB fan since I was a kid, this fanfic is a good side story. Most of the events from the original DB story that we know about occur, with some changes when the MC influences them. The story, fights and transformations follow the DB line, with some touches here and there of the Chinese fantasy novel style (Since the author of the fanfic is Chinese, it's no surprise). The MC has a harem, since he marries 2 women, as well as another woman whose relationship at the end of the story is doubtful. But this point is a very secondary part. It's not perfect, but I recommend it. In my opinion it is a 4. 3/5.

I highly recommend you to read this novel if you are a childhood fan of dragon ball like me and experience that nostalgia and ar the same time view the world of dragon ball for the perspective of our OP protagonist Xiaya.

So for the first hundred or so chapters it's really Chinese based but later on it gets a lot better even at the end you see almost no Chinese related stuff the grammar also gets way better this is by far one of the best novels on this website it was an awesome Journey but everything has to end

A great read, the story makes sense. One of the best fanfics I have ever read. It is also not too long nor is it too short. A 9/10 read for me.

One of the better fan fics I must say. The story doesn’t deviate from the original plot and the ki system is explained very well. 7, 5/10, would recommend to a DB fan.

A nice fanfic/novel tho I just dont like how the author sometimes keeps his enemies alive aka giving them plot armour to be used in later chapters I like the power system tho its just that if you dont know the characters in the anime or manga you wont get what is happening in the story

Gave it a shot. At first, it was okay, but I quickly lost interest and completely dropped it after 200 chapters. It could be because I've never watched Dragon Ball and have no emotional attachment to the characters.

Good progress speed, interesting characters, no insane changes compared to original For a fan-fic this was quite excellent, loved it more than the original i might add.
