Was decent in the first half, but the second half of the story felt much more empty and rushed in a way, the reset threw the story off in a weird direction, and most of the characters felt like throw away characters, the story was a meh in most parts, and overall the final fight just felt empty, the ending was in a weird place too, the reset was the main problem, after giving us a story line, the reset didnt give us time to really get to know any of the characters before their personalities changed, the actual antogonist didnt feel threatening at all and was just an annoying character with nothing really going for her, i say its a 3, story line was all over the place, charcters felt empty, the world felt weird, but i think people would still have some fun reading this
When I looked at the comments and rewievs for this novel I realized something about webnovels as a whole... We have gotten accustomed to self-inserting so much that we forgot novels were supposed To be stories about actual characters. It is truly saddening that people that only look for self-insert novels come and give novels with less then perfect MC's sh*t for no reason causing people who would be interested in an actual MC for once to turn away before they even give it a try.. TL;DR : this is a novel with actual characters not some blank slates
This particular author has the habit of kinda resetting the world a good chunk into his novels. You can check out his other novel, "Reincarnated as the Villainess's Attendant". He writes the story up to a certain point with some kind of ending in sight, then sets everything back to the beginning. Kinda annoying
This is a wonderful story. I loved reading about 250 chapters before losing interest. It's main failing is that the world is limited in scope because the world-building is limited to the 7 families. There is nothing else about the world to fascinate us or for the story to progress. The power progression is also very fast, so we aren't seeing the characters slowly become strong. It writes itself into a corner.
If I'm honest, I'm surprised. At the begining you'll think that's some lame story but progressively you learn more about the characters and understand why they are the way they are, even the unhealthy relationship between them.
