I have a few questions and I would appreciate some answers but if the answers can only be provided with spoilers then please let me know but don't spoil it for me. I recently started reading Er Gen's works and I decided to read them in the order they released. I'm currently reading RI and am about a quarter of the way there. Originally I planned on reading PoT after RI before ISSTH but honestly PoT didn't grab my attention as much as RI and ISSTH did. Is it alright to read ISSTH after RI or should I read PoT first? Will I miss out on anything or have PoT spoiled if I skip it and possibly only read it after ISSTH and AWE? From what I heard all Er Gen's works are set in the same universe. How does that work?Usually cultivation novels end with the mc reaching the apex of cultivation and the universe they are in but I don't see how that will work while having multiple works and mcs in the same universe. Is it multiverse type situation or are the works actually all set in the same universe?

Of those 3 you should definitely read issth last but it don’t matter which order you read for the first two And yes they are in the same galaxy but not universe - if I’m correct. They reach the peak of their galaxy and leave for higher and the end. All 3 mc’s will appear or get mentioned in issth but I don’t think that’s really a spoiler as it’s like the last few chapters and it won’t impact the story for you

Thanks for the info mate. I've long decided to just read them all in release order. I'm still reading RI but I did come across a few spoilers so I know a bit of the overall situation of the Ergenverse and I must say I agree. While reading can be done in any order and any work can be enjoyed as a standalone I believe reading them in release order is better. It makes hearing about the things and people you've already read about so much more hype. Crazy how the fact that the novels are connected, the thing I considered to be the biggest weakness and was something I disliked the most, ended up being the thing that I like the most and that hypes me up the most to continue reading the novels. Plus all of Er Gen's works are peak so really reading them all is a huge win by all means.

I truly agree with you. Er gen really is one of the best at writing cultivation novels if not the best. There is one thing I would absolutely recommend for you to read after you finish those 3. It’s his latest ongoing book Outside Of Time. Man I must say it’s literally his best work ever and it’s coming from someone who has read issth. Ri and pot at least 5 times each. This book is absolutely madness. It’s so good. The mc’s from issth and ri will be mentioned here. Try it out

Yeah I've heard it's a fan favorite so I definately will,it's on my reading list. I'm already saving up cultivation keys to unlock chapters every day on the site that shall not be named lest my comment get removed and I get slapped with a restriction warning again. I've heard that Beyond the Timescape version of translation and chapter formatting is better than Outside of Time one we got here. I much perfer reading finished works so Outside of Time isn't on my radar yet but it works out as I still have to finish Er Gen's previous works first. It's good to know there are some connections to his previous works. I knew it's also in the same universe but I thought it's a true standalone work without callbacks to his previous novels. It's good that this isn't the case. Hopefully by the time I finish all of those Outside of Time comes to an end. Did the author say anything do we know how close it is to being finished?

I don’t think the author mentioned that I do read it on both the sites and I haven’t seen a comment from him but me who is at the latest chapter would say the story is at the middle.. at least 1k more chapters remaining but who knows er gen may pull a massive power up and end it soon.

Oh d*mn I thought for sure it's at least close to being finished. However this estimate is just based on the amount of chapters his previous books had and how many years it took for them to release from start to finish. It was pretty consistent. All his books aside the first took around 2 years to release and had around 1500 chapters and Outside of Time is around 1200 right now so I figured it's close but I guess it could be different. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

P2 Necessary to be a family person: Back to the sixties Patience learning: Return of the female knight Short but fun: My whole family are villains Fresh air(p2): The evil god behind the smartphone Naturally progressing romance: Throne of magical arcana I think this much should suffice for now, I'll do some short notes now A few peaks: Kidnapped Dragons(Growth), My house of horrors (horror),The beginning after the end(isekai) Nb-1: If you see Tianshu aka The_Heavenly_Scribe, you can trust her words Nb-2: Start cuttlefish series When you're more or less used to the writing quality of most novels , you'll be shocked at the quality Also cuttlefish series is like the endgame series, The peak there is(you'll know which one I'm talking about) Ps: If you're wondering why there's two comments full of recommendation, it's for the guy below 👇

Which genre would you prefer? Makes it easier to recommend Edit: I'll just give you a general rundown then, and sorry but the list is going to be a tad bit long Ps: Following the order is completely upto you, but as RI is your first novel you literally tried to ascend to heaven at the first step so i strongly advice you to build a stable foundation first Also i won't be recommending any peak novel, only the first tier , second tier, and last tier ones Why? If you start off too strong you won't be able to enjoy reading in the longer run Until you have a stable foundation of 50-100 finished novels better to avoid peak stuffs of your standards will be too high, after that you can freely read But like as i said , following the serial is completely upto you Edit 2: Doesn't let me reply to the same comment more than once so am doing it at the top of the comment section (hope the admin won't mind)

        😆😆😆 there's a lot of short ones out there being under100/200 chapters, takes about 2-4 days to finish otherwise i wouldn't dare say 50-100 , even i haven't read more than 30 or 40 i think instead I've read 4 around 6k chapters (◕ᴗ◕✿), a few around 3k~~

I don’t really have a specific liking towards a genre but i definitely hate harem ones and seeing those mc’s go after women gives me second hand embarrassment im really okay with any other genre as long as the story is good. Im already chapter 1.4k+ in RI are my standards cooked?

You're fine, Ri was also one of my starting novels lol , my standards had gotten a bit high so had to make it normal slowly by fluffy mangas and moderate Novels , also I've given the part one at the top of the comment section, Check thosw out later on And as for harems, i didn't gave much, The brainrot trio, jobless, versatile mage, only those count as harems ,

Ahem i kinda finished martial peak raw, like from about 2.8k chapter i started reading raw and finished it raw(ꏿ﹏ꏿ;) Nshba and asura too, still reading them raw lol Versatile mage too, finished it raw too During the covid times had a lot of time so i went hunting the big novels 2k+ ones At those times didn't even know that RI was that good so after finishing the amount available (have to phrase it that way) took me a long time to recover Also most manhwa and manhua adaptations are bad as they skip a lot of contents so if something has an adaptation i read one adaptation chapter, and one novel, and if the adaptation is good then i finish it first and then start the novel

I remember reading Martial peak to the ink war thing, i forgot how far i reached in asura. I also read Versatile mage's manhwa or manhua whatever its called. at that time i started watching the donghua of Perfect World BTTH and a few other ones i forgot the name and felt how boring the previous ones were then after a year of not reading those stuff i started reading RI and then found out how bad those series were. Now i started reading Mysteries of Immortal Puppet Master like 4 hours ago. I got the series u told about in bookmarks i'll try them later, Currently im reading RI and Mysteries of Immortal Puppet Master. Just got a lot of time for a few days.

I started reading Er Gen's novels after reading Outside of time, but it turned out his other novels are above average at best. You can't really expect them to be consistently above average, there are also too many disappointing chapters. One of the things I didn't like was that main characters make dumb decisions too many times, on top of that they also act inconsistent wit their described character and all of that most of the time happens to force the plot. The average intelligence of the characters is also very concerning, it's like many of them are one dimensional NPCs. In this particular novel mc is one the luckiest main characters I've ever read about, but he still manages to need numerous plot armors on top of his luck. I feel like he wouldn't survive longer than ten chapters in Reverend Insanity, even luck Gu might just give up on him if he had it.😅 About the power scaling I can say that it's just horrible. But I really like the world building in Er Gen's novels, its good imho.

Ah, my first novel. Peak. This, Renegade Immortal and the Pursuit of the Truth are all excellent, and from what I've read of Beyond the Timescape (it's Outside of Time here), it's pretty much Er Gen's magnum opus.

Is it necessary to read this book to read a will eternal??(I have completed ri and pot) The mc and the plot in this novel is getting unbearable. I am currently at ch 370 and the forced plot and amount of character with iq lower than the room temperature are getting on my nerves. Ri and pot also had their moments where they made you frustrated but they also their good moments too. Even the side characters like bald crane and the delusional guy from RI were likable but I just can't like this lord fifth and his casual rap*es and meng hao doing nothing to stop him. Honestly if I can then I want to drop this and start another er gen novel. So, please tell me will I miss too much if I drop this novel?.

I wasn't even thinking about reading this novel since I'm already reading Outside of Time and Renegade Immortal, but I was told that the MC in this novel only has one wife instead of a harem, so I'd like to know if the romance is good.
